Beneath the assured outer surface of my existence simmered the shadow of another life’s possibility. The realisation of freedom is a journey all of its own. 

 

In the early months of 2021, having departed the business I co-ran for twenty five years, I started unlearning the constraints of my linear, commercial life.

 

I embarked upon a journey for which there was no prescribed route, stepping over the precipice to discover what was waiting for me in my second life. 

 

With a camera hung over my shoulder, a clutch of notebooks and sharp pencils I set out on a pathway getting to know myself better, losing myself in a newly emerging world.

 

Slowly, unconsciously, my focus started to shift.
